Jesus Christ is God!
Dr. Adrian Rogers, already in Heaven, preached this message before he died. He believed it and his convincing message sounded like a trumpet that Jesus is, indeed, God. You might not be able to find the verses that so clearly testify to this great truth, but Dr. Rogers has posted them here in this simple outline. I prayerfully suggest you print this outline and tuck it inside your Bible. When time permits turn to each Scripture and let it speak to your heart. Leave the outline there in your Bible as a silent testimony of your belief so that one day when you are no longer here–someone will find this outline and know that you believed this truth. It will be a witness of your faith and, hopefully, an encouragement to the reader to embrace this marvelous truth. One more suggestion: Before you close your Bible sign your copy of this outline and write this simple testimony: “I have looked at these Scriptures and I believe them. I believe that Jesus is God.” Then sign and date your testimony. What a powerful testimony you will leave for those who follow.

Is Jesus God?
In Matthew 27:22, Jesus is on trial before Pilate.
In this passage, Jesus stood before Pilate.
One day, Pilate will stand before Jesus.
The question Pilate asked in Matthew 27:22 is the same question before each of us today: What will I do with Jesus?
This is a personal question it isn’t what will someone else do with Jesus, but what will I do with Jesus.
This is a present question it isn’t asking what will be done in the future or what has been done in the past, but what will I do with Jesus today, in the present.
This is a pressing question each of us will do something with Jesus. We will either accept or reject Him; there is no middle ground. To ignore Him is to reject Him.
This is a pertinent question this question does not deal with a social or cultural event or issue: what will I do with Jesus who is called Christ?
The Bible teaches the deity of Jesus Christ, that He is God.
If Jesus is not God as He claimed, then He is a fake, fraud and imposter.
But Jesus, as we will see in Scripture, is God. Therefore, we cannot simply “tip our hat” to Jesus.
We will either accept Him and bow the knee to Him, or we will reject Him.
What will I do with Jesus?
This message presents four lines of evidence that show the deity of Jesus Christ.
I. ALL OF THE ATTRIBUTES OF GOD THE FATHER ARE FOUND IN THE LORD JESUS.
“Jehovah” is the name for God in the Old Testament and is used some 7,000 times. In the King James Version of the Scripture, the word “Jehovah” is translated “Lord.” The Jehovah of the Old Testament and the Jesus of the New Testament are one and the same.
Isaiah 40:3 and Matthew 3:3
Isaiah 43:11 and Titus 2:13
Isaiah 44:6 and Revelation 1:17
Psalm 23:1 and John 10:11
Psalm 24:10 and 1 Corinthians 2:8
Exodus 20:10-11 and Matthew 12:8
John 1:1-2 teaches the pre-existence of Jesus; Jesus did not have His beginning at Bethlehem.
Jesus’ absolute holiness is taught:
Matthew 6:12 teaches us to pray for forgiveness for our sins. Jesus never once had to pray for forgiveness.
II. THE ADORATION JESUS RECEIVED SHOWS HIM TO BE GOD.
Idolatry is the ultimate sin: to worship any god other than Jehovah.
Jesus allowed Himself to be worshipped.
Jesus knew that only God is to be worshipped.
III. JESUS IS SHOWN TO BE GOD BY HIS OWN ADMISSION. (John 8:56-59)
In this passage, the Pharisees wanted to stone Jesus because He had said, “Before Abraham was, I AM.”
In Exodus 3:13-14, God called Himself by this sacred name.
There never was a time when Jesus was not, and there never will be a time when He will not be. He is the great, pre-existent, eternal God.
IV. JESUS IS SHOWN TO BE GOD BY HIS ABILITIES.
Jesus is able to save.
Jesus is able to subdue.
Jesus is able to secure.
2 Timothy 1:12
What shall I do with Jesus?
In Matthew 27:22, they crucified Jesus.
We will not be neutral: we will either love Him or ignore Him. We will either accept Him or reject Him.
Accept Jesus today.
